Online Gambling Predictions 2015 – Part One

Online Gambling Predictions 2015 – Part One

2014 has ended and the new year has begun. It was an exciting year if we look back at all that has happened in the online gaming world. Especially the take over of PokerStars and Full Tilt was one of the biggest news stories. Also, there were a lot of other take overs, new products and more, but that is in the past now. Now it’s time for 2015, which (probably) has a lot in store you and me.

The Poker War Will Begin

One of our main predictions for 2015 regarding poker is that a war will commence. Even the big operators are feeling the heat from competition in the field of online and mobile poker. For example, Bwin has to cut down and is focussing more on sports betting and less on poker. Another example, the fact that Amaya has added casino games to its PokerStars.es site. These were just some of the signs during 2014 that game of online poker is changing.

We strongly believe that the world of online poker is going to take some major turns and some big players will get some big setbacks. For you as a player this could be great news! When competitors go head to head they have the tendency to start cutting prices and start big promotions. Therefore we predict that you will get some great deals and might even see some rake-cuts.

Poker Will Become Even More Mobile

Another thing that we predict, casino and poker operators will start developing apps for wearables. Yes you heard us right, wearables! You know, those things that you can wear during sports that will track you activity. We predict that some major operators will start experimenting with wearable technology, so that they can make poker even more mobile then it is today.

At first, this will probably be just experiments, so don’t expect to play the Sunday Million or you $100/$200 ring game on your smart watch, but we feel strong in saying that by the end of the year there will be some poker apps for your smart watch or other wearable like gadgets.

Wouldn’t that be great? Playing poker on your smart watch? We’re not quite sure how it will work exactly, but we are sure that some multi-billion dollar poker house will be able to figure it out before the end of 2015.

If you’re already interested in owning your own smart watch, we have listed some of the best ones from amazon. And yes, you can’t play poker on them yet, but still, they are great!
